AEO Ultimate Lite for Wix

When something looks wrong

Lite has a small surface — it builds one connected schema graph for your Wix site and publishes llms.txt. That means fewer things can go wrong, and most of what does comes down to publishing, absolute URLs, or the app being switched off in site settings.

Nothing is appearing on my site at all

Three causes, in the order worth checking.

01

The site has not been published since installing. Wix apps only affect the live site after a publish. Editing and previewing is not enough — hit Publish.

02

The app is switched off. Internally this logs [AEO] disabled by site settings. Re-enable it in the app’s settings and publish again.

03

The configuration never loaded. Logged as [AEO] config element not found — the app’s embed is missing from the page, usually because it was removed from the site’s custom code or the page predates installation. Reinstall or re-add the embed, then publish.

Those two bracketed messages appear in your browser’s developer console rather than on screen. If you are comfortable opening it, they tell you which of the three you are hitting immediately.

“must be an absolute URL”

Schema requires full addresses, not relative paths. /about is meaningless to a crawler that does not already know your domain; https://example.com/about is not.

The same rule applies to the site’s home URL — “homeUrl is required and must be an absolute URL”. Enter it including https://.

If you see “page.url is required (the canonical URL of this page)”, the app could not determine which page it is running on. That usually means it is being rendered somewhere without a canonical URL — a preview frame or a custom embed context rather than a normal published page.

“Duplicate node”

Full message: “Duplicate node for [id]. Already owned by [owner].”

Two parts of the graph tried to claim the same @id. Because the whole point is one connected graph rather than several competing blocks, the app refuses the second claim rather than publishing a contradiction.

The usual cause is another SEO app on the same Wix site also publishing schema for the same entity. Run one or the other, not both.

The inspector will not check my page

“A public https page URL is required” — the inspector fetches your page the way a crawler would, so it needs a live, public, HTTPS address. A preview link, an unpublished page or a password-protected site cannot be checked, because a crawler could not read them either.

“The page could not be fetched” means the address resolved but did not return a page — commonly a typo, a redirect chain, or a site still propagating after a domain change.

Settings will not save, or copy does not work

“Could not save” and “HTTP [status] — empty response” are connection failures rather than validation ones. Retry; if it persists, the Wix app backend is unreachable rather than your input being wrong.

“Could not access the clipboard — select the text and copy it manually” is a browser permission, not a fault. Some browsers block programmatic clipboard access; the text is right there to select.

Do I need the Store app as well?

Only if you sell. Lite covers services, FAQs and business identity across any Wix site. AEO Ultimate Store for Wix adds product schema and merchant signals for Wix Stores, with a free plan and two paid tiers.

Lite is free, with nothing to renew.

Nothing here matches my problem

Send your site URL and what you expected to see. Lite is small enough that most problems are quick to identify from the live page.
