Privacy Policy

This page covers two things: how this website handles your data, and one unified privacy policy for every AEO Ultimate plugin and app — WordPress, WooCommerce, Wix, Shopify and Webflow. Last updated August 11, 2026.

Who we are

AEO Ultimate is a product line of Tampa Web Technologies, Tampa, Florida, United States. Our website address is https://aeoultimate.com. You can reach us at david@tampawebtech.com.

Part 1 — this website

Comments

Comments are disabled on this website, so no commenter data is collected.

Analytics

We use third-party analytics to understand how the website is used:

  • Google Analytics collects information such as pages visited, time on site, approximate location, device and browser type, and the site that referred you. It sets cookies to distinguish visitors. See Google’s privacy policy; you can opt out with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
  • Microsoft Clarity records how visitors interact with pages — clicks, scrolling and session replays — and may use cookies and heatmaps to help us improve the site. See Microsoft’s privacy statement.

Analytics data is used in aggregate to improve the website and is not used to identify individual visitors.

Media

If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

Cookies

Besides the analytics cookies described above, this site sets cookies only for logged-in users (site staff): a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies, login cookies that last two days (or two weeks with “Remember Me”), and screen display cookies that last a year. Logging out removes login cookies. Regular visitors are not logged in and do not receive these.

Embedded content from other websites

Articles on this site may include embedded content (for example videos or images). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor had visited the other website — those sites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content.

How long we retain your data and your rights

This website itself stores personal data only for registered site staff, who can see, edit, or delete their profile information at any time. Analytics data is retained according to Google’s and Microsoft’s retention settings. You can request an exported file of any personal data we hold about you, or request that we erase it — this does not include data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes. Send either request to david@tampawebtech.com.

Part 2 — unified plugin & app privacy policy

This single policy applies to every AEO Ultimate product: TWT AEO Ultimate (WordPress), AEO Ultimate for WooCommerce, AEO Ultimate Lite for Wix, AEO Ultimate for Shopify, and AEO Ultimate for Webflow. Where a platform note applies to one edition only, it is called out below.

The short version: your data stays on your site. Telemetry exists in some editions but is strictly opt-in and off by default. Paid editions may verify a license with our license server. Beyond that, nothing leaves your server unless you trigger an action yourself, using credentials you supply, billed to your own accounts.

Our defaults

  • Telemetry is opt-in. Some editions offer optional usage telemetry to help us improve the products. It is disabled by default, only active if you explicitly enable it, and can be turned off again at any time. Editions without the option send no telemetry at all.
  • License verification (paid editions). Paid or agency editions may contact our license server to verify a purchase. That check transmits the license key and the site URL it is activated on — nothing about your content or your visitors — and we retain it only as needed to validate active licenses.
  • Temporary processing storage. Some apps create a short-lived Redis database while processing a job, then delete it when the job completes. Nothing from it is retained.
  • No cookies are set for your site’s visitors, and no individual visitor or device data is collected.
  • Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control signals are honored.
  • The visible output of our products is machine-readable markup (JSON-LD, Open Graph, llms.txt and similar discovery files) — it changes nothing about what data your site collects from visitors.

What is stored — and where

Everything the products record is stored in your own site’s database, under your control:

  • Crawler logs (WordPress and WooCommerce editions): page URL, user-agent and HTTP status of bot visits. IP addresses are not stored; where network information is needed for AI-traffic classification, addresses are truncated before storage.
  • Citation monitor records: the questions asked, the engine used, the date, and the source URLs returned.
  • First-party review entries (WooCommerce edition): name, email and review text submitted through the review form — linked to the WordPress privacy export and erasure tools, so standard data-subject requests cover them.
  • Settings and audit results: module configuration, schema output, scores and reports.

When data leaves your server

Only when you trigger an action that requires an external service, and only using API credentials you supply:

  • AI providers (Anthropic Claude, OpenAI, Google Gemini, Perplexity): receive only the product or page text you explicitly asked to be processed, under your own API key and the provider’s own privacy terms. Nothing is sent until you configure a feature and run it.
  • Search and merchant services (Google Search Console, Google & Bing Merchant Center, IndexNow, Bing Webmaster): used to read your own accounts’ data and submit your own URLs, with credentials you connect.
  • Report destinations: reports are sent only to destinations you specify (email, Slack, Google Drive).
  • Crawler verification lists: published bot IP-range lists are downloaded and compared locally on your server.
  • License server (paid editions): license key and activated site URL, for purchase verification only.
  • Telemetry (only if you enabled it): anonymous usage statistics about the plugin itself — never your content, customers, or visitors.

Google API Services and Limited Use

Some AEO Ultimate features (such as the Command Center) let you connect your own Google account to read data from Google Analytics and Google Search Console using read-only scopes. That data is retrieved solely to display reports and generate recommendations inside your own dashboard. We do not sell it, do not use it for advertising, and do not transfer it to anyone else except as necessary to provide those features, to comply with applicable law, or as part of a merger or acquisition with prior notice to you.

AEO Ultimate’s use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Platform notes

  • WordPress / WooCommerce: all storage uses your WordPress database; the WordPress privacy export and erasure tools cover data the plugins store. Uninstalling removes the plugin’s data.
  • Wix: AEO Ultimate Lite collects no visitor data and sets no cookies. Business details are pre-filled from your Wix Business Info and published only as schema markup you can review in the dashboard.
  • Shopify: enriched attributes are written to your store’s own product metafields through Shopify’s APIs; the app operates inside your Shopify admin under Shopify’s data-protection framework.
  • Webflow: the app publishes AEO signals through Webflow’s official Data API into your own site; it does not collect data from your site’s visitors.

Your rights and contact

Because our products keep data on your own site, most data-subject requests are handled by you, the site owner, using your platform’s built-in tools. For anything related to this website, or questions about any AEO Ultimate product’s data practices, contact david@tampawebtech.com — Tampa Web Technologies, Tampa, Florida, United States, (656) 245-4615.
