AEO Ultimate for WordPress

# Every screen, and what it’s for

The plugin adds a **TWT AEO** menu with nearly thirty screens. That is a lot, deliberately: every module toggles independently, so you switch on what your site needs and the rest stays out of the way. This page says what each one does and when you would open it.

Nothing here is enabled just because you activated the plugin. Start at **Modules**.

## Start here

**Setup Wizard**: guided first run

Start here

**Modules**: the master switchboard

Everything toggles here

**Dashboard**: what is switched on and working

Daily view

**AEO Score**: how ready the site is overall

Progress

**Diagnostics**: captured fatal errors

When something breaks

**Settings** and **Access & Roles**

Keys, AI models and permissions

**Diagnostics is the one to remember.** The plugin arms a fatal-error catcher before anything else loads, so a crash anywhere in the load chain is captured there rather than leaving you with a white screen and nothing to go on.

## Schema and entities

**Schema Detector** is the screen you will use most. It auto-detects what each page actually is (service, article, product, contact), fills in missing JSON-LD, and flags duplicate-schema conflicts where two plugins are both publishing. When you are asking “is my schema working?”, this answers it per page.

**Knowledge Graph** defines your entities and the relationships between them, with per-URL about and mentions, grounded against Wikipedia and Wikidata via `sameAs`. This is what turns a pile of pages into a connected description of one organisation.

**E-E-A-T** holds publisher identity on the Company tab and scores author completeness. If it says “Business Name is required”, nothing downstream can be built until you fill it in.

**Social Graph** manages Open Graph and Twitter/X cards, including the publisher/author split that most SEO plugins collapse into one value.

## AI readiness

**AI Ready** is the control room for everything machine-facing: llms.txt and llms-full.txt, agent-discovery endpoints, Content-Signal headers, and per-bot blocking and rate limits for 20+ AI crawlers. Each crawler has its own Block toggle and rate-limit override under Security & Rate Limiting.

**Bot View** renders a page as a crawler sees it. When schema “is not appearing”, this is how you check whether the problem is the output or your cache.

**AI Visibility** asks the questions your customers ask, against eight AI engines (ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, Perplexity, Grok, Le Chat, Muse (Meta AI) and DeepSeek), and records whether you were cited, named or absent, or whether the engine gave no sources at all. Open any row to read what the engine actually said and which sources it leaned on. This is the closest thing to measuring whether any of this is working.

Since 2.26 a run can be asked as one of your **buyer personas** (“machine shop owner”, “manufacturing engineer”): the persona reaches the engine as background about the user, the way the consumer apps personalise, and the question itself is sent exactly as written. Type your own personas, or let the plugin suggest them from your main pages; switch them off to ask as nobody in particular. Every answer also comes back with the **follow-up questions** that engine expects the buyer to ask next, and **Follow the conversation** asks the engine its own top follow-up, one or two turns deep, so you see whether you are still cited further into the buyer’s research. Follow-up turns show as their own rows and stay out of the headline numbers.

Since 2.28 every run has a **search location**. Each run also searches from a place: automatically your business address (Local Pack) or store country, or any country, state and city you choose, so a Tampa shop is measured the way Tampa buyers see the answers. Engines whose APIs take a search location use it; the others are told where the user is. Runs are only compared with runs from the same place.

DeepSeek support is new: it works, and is still being tested. Most of DeepSeek’s use is outside the US, led by Asia, with Russia and India near the top, and much of India searches in English. If your buyers are mostly in the US you can leave it off; if you sell internationally, especially into India, it is worth tracking.

**CSV export** puts a run (or every kept run) in one file: each question, the full answer and its verdict, followed by its follow-up questions, with the persona and pattern columns for analysis, such as where a brand or subject falls in the question, model numbers, places, and hiring versus how-to questions. Every row names the site and business type, so exports from several client sites stack into one sheet.

**AI Crawler Watch** (a Command Center tab) logs which AI bots read your site, which pages they fetch and what they waste requests on. **AI referral tracking** counts the human visits that arrive from ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude, Gemini and Copilot, per page and per engine, with no cookies and no per-visitor data. With GA4 connected, AI Visibility also shows AI referral visits beside its citation results, so you can see whether being cited is sending people.

**RAG Engine** shows your site the way AI retrieval sees it, on five tabs. **Chunk View** splits any page into the passages a retrieval index would hold and flags the ones that make no sense on their own. **Documents** takes your spec sheets, manuals and FAQs (PDF, Word or text), reads them on your own server and deletes the file; tables in PDFs are rebuilt as real tables. **Search Placement** lists the Google and Bing searches you rank 4th to 15th for that your documents answer and the ranking page does not: your content gaps, taken from real ranking data. **AI Citations** lists the questions from your AI Visibility runs where an engine left you out, with the passages that answer them, and its **Next questions** section checks the follow-ups the engines predicted against your pages and documents: the passage to publish where your documents answer one, and a list of what nothing on your site answers yet. It reads the data you already have and never publishes anything: each suggestion has a Copy button and an Edit page link.

Documents that are laws, codes, safety data sheets or contracts are quoted word for word with their citation. For laws and codes, an optional online check looks for changes since your copy’s date and links you to the official source to confirm.

## Commerce

**WooCommerce**, **Smart Collections** and **Promotions** only appear when WooCommerce is active. If they are missing, that is why.

Smart Collections publishes category pages like “Starter Kit” or “Under $500” as real Collections with structured data an assistant can quote. Promotions publishes quantity breaks and member pricing as honest price specifications, and refuses to publish a coupon whose rules cannot be described truthfully, naming the reason per coupon.

Running both plugins

If [AEO Ultimate for WooCommerce](https://aeoultimate.com/docs/woocommerce/) is also installed, this plugin stands down from commerce output automatically so nothing publishes twice. Its commerce screens going quiet is the expected result.

## Local, indexing and content

**Local Pack** handles LocalBusiness schema with hours and geo, plus NAP consistency auditing. **Reviews** manages review and AggregateRating markup.

**Sitemap** serves the cached `/aeo-sitemap.xml`; **Google News** adds a news sitemap; **Not Indexed** reports pages Google has not indexed, driven by the Search Console URL Inspection API.

**Smart 404** rescues broken inbound links. Note that some actions elsewhere tell you to “enable the Smart 404 Rescue module to use this”, which means exactly what it says.

**Image SEO** generates missing alt text in bulk. **PR Bridge AI** detects PR intent and drafts releases. **Funnel Audit** looks at how pages convert rather than how they rank.

## Command Center

Search Console, GA4 and Bing Webmaster in one view, with PageSpeed and Core Web Vitals audits cached for six hours. Everything here stays off until you connect the service with your own credentials; none of it is required for schema output to work. Once Google is connected, choose your Search Console property from the dropdown in Settings: it lists the properties your Google account can use, and a domain property covers every version of your site.

PageSpeed requests can take up to a minute. A timeout there is Google being slow, not a fault.
